Nevertheless, I'm here, and with a postcard covered in my own art =] As I just couldn't resist the challenge over at Something Completely Different
First of all, I'd like to mention it's completely inspired by Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Heart no Kuni no Alice [if you haven't heard of the latter, don't worry, not many have =D]. The Two characters are the [mad] Hatter, and the March Hare. The March Hare personified like with Heart no Kuni to be partly human. I should probably also say, for those interested, they are known as Blood Dupre and Elliot March in the manga.
The foremost centre image is Blood and Elliot and a tea-pot gushing tea, done with fine-liners, felt tips and a mix of a few pro-markers.
The background [just behind the first layer] was done with acrylic paint inspired by zooKa from DA.
And the furthest background is made up of cut playing cards and drawn playing cards [by myself]. Upon some are quotes from Carrol's book.
["Why is a raven like a writing desk?", "Twinkle Twinkle little bat, how I wonder what you're at. Up above the world you fly, like a tea-tray in the sky-" "Twinkle twinkle twinkle..." and the name of the postcard and chapter which features the two,
I also was inspired to place a few tea-rings, drips and butter stains. Brown shades in promarkers where used in the centre to create the illusion of the rabbit hole.
Excellent piece of work even though you did mess up my work place!!! Well done, now get on to the next one! Huggies
